Giftwrap snapshot

We celebrated a birthday today. There was a 'Geburtstagstisch' (birthday table) this morning per tradition. We'll celebrate more later with 'Apfelweinkuchen' (apple wine cake). I had fun doing simple wrapping with post paper, ribbon and scrap fabric (red details).

It seems I'm pretty addicted to the plain canvas post paper offers and I know I'm going to have a hard time giving it up one day! Oh well, I guess if I'm using gift wrap on my walls I can use post paper for my gifts, right?! What do you typically use for gift wrap?

I love brown packing paper too and then add color with ribbon and stuff. This week I will be using the confetti wrapping idea that you pinned a while back. Can't wait to give it a try. Lovely wrapping you did! Enjoy the day!!

Thanks Monica! You'll have to let me know how the confetti wrapping turns out, so curious!

Your wrapping looks great! I love to wrap with brown paper, too, although it is a bit tricky to get the paper in nice form. Mostly I prefer the easiest way for me: I sew a little bag for the little something I want to give - and it itself is like a present...

At the moment I have two types of paper – kids presents paper and adults paper – the former consisting of ten rolls in various colours displaying anything from animals to aliens, princesses to Winnie the Pooh , the later consisting of a single roll of cream paper I got ages ago from Depot – it suits both genders, right! However I do have a roll of brown paper which seems to be endless ( from Ikea) and it actually saved the day, last Saturday at the local craft fair after I forgot to get myself some bags ordered. So yes, thumbs up for the brown packing paper!
