Salt dough ornaments. I remember making these as a child (um..and chewing on them, too, so gross). Prudent Baby has a nice no-color tutorial, but I really like Lorajean's Magazine blog's salt dough ornament tutorial for the pictures and the food coloring recipe that gives you that gingerbread-y color. These take a while to make in the oven, but just set that timer, right? You can totally squeeze in at least one Christmas movie while these bake!
