I've often experienced amazement, bewilderment, frustration, and confusion when looking at the work of human hands, only to have a huge "ah-ha!" moment the second I met the creator.
Deeper understanding and appreciation often increase as your relationship to the artist grows, so I decided to create the Living Colors series to showcase a variety of creators I'm connected to, both to share their personalities and their work.
Living Colors is about real people I know who are creating regularly. The work you'll see displayed in this series will vary greatly (I'm not kidding here!), much like the people themselves.Deeper understanding and appreciation often increase as your relationship to the artist grows, so I decided to create the Living Colors series to showcase a variety of creators I'm connected to, both to share their personalities and their work.
Tomorrow I'll be posting the first in this series, but I wanted to post a little introduction to get the ball rolling. See you tomorrow!

Juliette, I'm so excited to see your post tomorrow! Your flower pictures are just lovely... did you do them yourself? Great color combo. Isn't it fun playing around with flower pics?
Juliette, I'm in *complete* agreement with you. I am often so amazed by the handwork of those making around me. Kudos to your series; I look forward to it!
Thanks Allison - yes, I did. =) We had some people over for dinner this weekend, so I treated myself to fresh flowers from the markt =)
What a wonderful and generous idea. I'll be following this.
