I'm going to be brave (or stupid?) and try sewing something up with this gray cotton lace. I'm aiming for a drapey cardigan/jacket sort of thing for my next project. The lace was on clearance somewhere and I thought, well, why not? But looking at it now, I see that it's so...open...and I'm worried my sewing machine will eat it up or something.
On the other hand, I could just make bias trim with some other fabric for a different project. I might do that first if I chicken out or get frustrated with the lace!
What kind of fabric challenges you? Have you ever sewn with lace? Any tips to share?
