Summer Colors: Nautical

We saw colors, oh yes, we saw colors this summer. It wasn't so much the colors of the water as it was the colors on the water. From buoys to boats to bathing suits. I love these summer colors!

What Word Sums Up Your Summer?

We're back. It was such a good trip. So many things to share, but for now, a photo from one of my favorite days. This was taken as I was riding in a boat through the Annisquam River and heading out into the Ipswich Bay/Atlantic Ocean in Gloucester, north of Boston. I love the salt marshes. I love the sea. They just calm my soul in the ways that only beautiful creation does. And can I just say how much I loved having sun sun sun for almost 5 weeks straight?! Goodness, but I needed that!

If I had to describe my summer in one word I'd have to say SUNNY! The funny/sad thing is that I had left my camera's settings to a high ISO for the low German light, but of course this made all my US shots washed out. I was too busy having a good time to remember to check my camera settings I guess!
